MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Canton Charge (19-26), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, fell on the road to the Raptors 905 (27-17), 106-97, at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga on Saturday afternoon. The hosts outscored the Charge 34-17 in the fourth quarter to surge ahead for the victory.
The Charge had a trio of 20+ point scorers, led by Grant Jerrett's 25 points and four assists in 42 minutes. Marcus Thornton scored 22 points on 6-of-10 three-point shooting and dished out a season-high tying nine assists in 39 minutes. JaCorey Williams scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 36 minutes. Scochie Smith had an all-around effort of 14 points, eight assists, six boards, four steals and four blocks in 40 minutes.
Lorenzo Brown led all scorers with 30 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists in 35 minutes. Shevon Thompson added 14 points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes of relief off the bench. Fuquan Edwin had 12 points, five rebounds and three steals in 22 minutes. The Charge bench was outscored 52-12 by the Raptors 905 reserves.
