The Ottawa Champions lost the first game of their final series of the season, 12-2 to the Trois-Rivieres Aigles.
The loss puts the Champions two games back of the Aigles for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Can-Am League. Should Ottawa come back to win the three-game series, they would advance into a playoff round against the Rockland Boulders.
Despite the on-field loss, the Champions won big at the box office. 6,129 fans attended the game, making it the largest crowd in franchise history.
