Champions Rally Late But Fall Short in 3-2 Loss to Rockland

OTTAWA - RHP Jake Hale pitched six strong innings, allowing just four hits and one run but RHP Brad Schaenzar was equal to the task as he answered with six strong innings and allowed just one run on eight hits in the game.

RHP Miles Sheehan came on in relief of Hale and gave up three hits and two runs, all earned. He is charged with the loss and is now 1-2 on the campaign. RHP Nick Kennedy came on in relief and picked up his fourth win. He is now 4-1.

INF Cody Regis collected two hits, including a double and his 15th home run of the season. The long ball was used three times by Rockland as INF Mikael Mogues teed off on his 10th of the season while OF Mike Montville added his 11th.

DH Sebastien Boucher kept his hot streak going, scoring a run and finishing with two hits in the game including a double in the first inning. Boucher's season batting average now stands at .365. OF Chase Harris and C Zak Colby collected two hits a piece and continue to produce lately at the bottom of the lineup for Ottawa.

The Champions will look to rebound and take the series on Independence Day. First pitch flies at 6:30 p.m. The game can be watched on www.canamleague.tv. Following that, Ottawa will head to New Jersey for a three game set starting Thursday
