CONEY ISLAND, NY - Jose Chacin stayed unbeaten at home and Zach Ashford drove in two runs as the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, evened the series at 2-2 with a 7-4 victory over the Jersey Shore Blue Claws Saturday night at Maimonides Park.

KEY PLAYS

Cyclones starter Jose Chacin tossed a quality start, fanning seven over six innings of three-run ball in the victory. The righty allowed two runs in the top of the sixth, his final inning of the night, allowing an RBI triple to Herbert Iser and an RBI double to DJ Stewart to make it 6-3.

Zach Ashford and Raul Beracierta chipped in two runs in Brooklyn's three-run fifth inning, extending the lead to 6-1. Ashford collected an RBI fielder's choice, while Beracierta clubbed an RBI double into right-center field.

Brooklyn blitzed Jersey Shore for three early runs, scoring on Jose Peroza's RBI double, Luke Ritter's sacrifice fly, and Zach Ashford's RBI single against starter Julian Garcia to make it 3-0.
