Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - CF Montréal and BPM Sports announced Wednesday a new two-year partnership agreement as the Club's French-language radio broadcaster.
BPM Sports, via its station 91.9 in Montreal, will once again broadcast all CF Montréal's regular season and playoff matches.
Coverage of all matches will include a half hour pre-game show, as well as a half hour post-game show for road games and an hour long show for games played in Montreal.
This new agreement will allow listeners to discover a new broadcast team comprised of Maxime Van Houtte as play-by-play commentator, Sydney Fowo as colour analyst and Georges Laraque as the sideline reporter.
In addition, for a seventh consecutive year, BPM Sports will be presenting FC 919, the station's 100% soccer-specific program. The show will air twice a week with Olivier Brett retuning as host. Brett will also continue his regular guest appearances on the station's various shows.
"We are very pleased to renew this agreement with our radio partner BPM Sports," said CF Montréal President and CEO Gabriel Gervais. "Over the past two years, BPM Sports has shown its desire to promote our sport to audiences and fans. The consistent and varied content on its airwaves have allowed BPM Sports to continue to bring CF Montréal closer to fans. The BPM Sports network also allows listeners beyond the Greater Montreal area to tune in to the Club's activities."
"BPM Sports is proud to pursue one of its mandates, which is to promote the development of soccer in Quebec," said Yves Bombardier, Programming Director at BPM Sports. "We are pleased to continue our association with CF Montréal through this wonderful partnership extension."
