FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts - With a 10th road win this season (and sixth straight), CF Montréal shut out the New England Revolution 1-0 on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

Alistair Johnston scored the winning goal (72'), collecting his fourth of the year and the 14th by a CF Montréal defender this season.

As a result, Montreal enters the international break with 59 points and an 18-9-5 record. In addition, with the New York Red Bulls' loss on Saturday afternoon to New York City FC, CF Montréal is guaranteed to finish second in the Eastern Conference.

Montreal will play its last home game of the regular season on October 1 against D.C. United at Stade Saputo at 7:30pm (TVA Sports, TSN, BPM Sports, TSN 690).

GAME NOTES

-Kei Kamara played his 30th match with CF Montréal. It is the sixth time in his career that he plays 30 or more games in a season and the first time since 2017.

-Goalkeeper Sebastian Breza earned his 13th win this season and third clean sheet.

-CF Montréal shut out the opponent for a sixth time this year and for a second time against New England.

-The team earned 14 corner kicks in the match, a Club record in MLS.

-The last time a team won six straight road games in MLS was San Jose in 2005.

"I'm proud for the players that they can continue to break records. The guys are putting Montreal on top. Yes, we're breaking all the records, but that is a consequence of what is happening on the pitch. New England was fighting for a playoff spot. We were in control of the game. We were good at anticipating the loss of possession and their counterattack."
