Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - CF Montréal shut out Nashville SC 1-0 on Wednesday night at Stade Saputo.
In a first half dominated by the hosts, Montreal finally broke the tie in the penalty area after a combination play between Sunusi Ibrahim, Mason Toye and Bryce Duke. The American midfielder rounded off the sequence with a low-driven shot in the 27th minute, scoring his second goal of the season.
With a sixth straight regular-season clean sheet win at home, Montreal equalled the league record set by the Kansas City Wizards in 2000.
With this victory, the Bleu-blanc-noir secured a first win over Nashville in seven games and handed the opponents their first defeat after 10 consecutive games unbeaten.
CF Montréal will play again this Saturday away from home against Charlotte FC at 7:30pm at Bank of America Stadium (MLS Season Pass, BPM Sports, TSN 690).

Postgame comments from head coach Hernán Losada, Joel Waterman and Victor Wanyama are available here.
HERNÁN LOSADA
"There's a sense of pride in keeping the clean sheet once again and winning against a team with a lot of quality for the first time in the history of the two clubs. I think we played a very good first half. We controlled the game, created chances, and found a solution to try and find a free player. Unfortunately, if you don't score the second goal, you're going to suffer a bit, but we gave it our all. We had another great crowd tonight. The support here at home is exceptional and it helps us make the difference. It's a good, tight-knit group with a lot of resilience, so we'll keep working, but we're happy with the result tonight."
JOEL WATERMAN
"At the end of the day we got the job done and that was a huge play from Mathieu. I think we had to do a much better job in the second half playing the same way. We are comfortable with getting the lead. Sometimes it doesn't go as planned and we need to find other ways to win. That's what the team keeps doing, especially at home. I could not be prouder of the guys. We believe in ourselves. We believe in the group that we have, and we love playing at home. That is obvious."
VICTOR WANYAMA
"They kept dropping back and giving us the time to shoot which led to the game-winner. Unfortunately, today we didn't shoot more on target, but if we continue like this, we must score and improve from that. The key is to try to hold the ball and move it. If we continue to play like this, it can be better for us. Hopefully we continue like that because we can be dangerous in transition. We now know each other very well and whoever steps on the pitch, we have the connection. It means a lot for the team, because everyone has been doing their work, from the goalkeeper to the forwards."
