Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - Following a 3-3 draw at Charlotte FC on June 10, Sounders FC returns from a week off of MLS action with a Western Conference clash against LAFC on Wednesday, June 21 at BMO Stadium (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM). Seattle currently sits in third place in the Western Conference with 28 points, one point behind LAFC and St. Louis CITY SC, who are tied atop the table with 29 points apiece. Wednesday's match marks the second time these two teams have met this year after playing to a 0-0 draw on March 18 at Lumen Field.
Seattle holds a 3-6-4 all-time record against LAFC in regular-season matchups, including a winless 0-5-1 road mark. However, Sounders FC has defeated LAFC in both postseason meetings, a 3-1 win in both the 2019 Western Conference Final at BMO Field and the First Round in 2020 at Lumen Field.
Following Wednesday's match, the club faces a quick turnaround, hosting Orlando City SC on Saturday, June 24 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV - Watch Free, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM).
