
LAFC Exercises Option for Francisco Ginella

Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) announced today that the Club has exercised Francisco Ginella's option through 2024. Additionally, LAFC has extended Ginella's loan with Club Nacional de Football of Uruguay's First Division through June, 2024.
Ginella's initial loan period with Club Nacional began on July 18, 2022. He went on to make 11 appearances (four starts) across all competitions and registered 517 minutes played, helping lead Nacional to their 49th Uruguayan League title. Overall, Ginella has made 19 appearances across all competitions between 2022-2023, including three appearances and one goal in the 2023 Copa Libertadores.
Originally signed by LAFC on Dec. 16, 2019, using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM), Ginella appeared in 55 games (28 starts), registering one goal and three assists across all competitions for LAFC.
Prior to joining LAFC, Ginella played three seasons with Montevideo Wanderers of the Uruguayan First Division. He has also been a member of Uruguay's Youth National teams since 2018.
