KANSAS CITY, Kansas - After stringing together a second straight win last weekend against the New York Red Bulls (across all competitions), CF Montréal will hit the road this Saturday to take on Sporting Kansas City at 8:30pm EDT at Children's Mercy Park (Apple MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, TSN 690).

This will be the first visit for the Montrealers to Kansas since March 30, 2019, a match in which the Bleu-blanc-noir suffered a 7-1 loss.

CF Montréal will be facing a third Western Conference opponent this season. In cross-conference games so far, Montreal is 0-2-0 in 2023 after losses in Austin and Vancouver.

Overall since 2012, Montreal has a 4-8-3 record against Kansas City with 15 goals scored and 29 goals allowed. At Children's Mercy Park, Montreal's record stands at 2-4-1.

On a historical note, the Club is only two goals away from reaching the 500 regular-season road goal milestone (1993-2023).

Last Saturday against the Red Bulls, midfielder Mathieu Choinière scored his fifth career MLS goal. He became the 27th Canadian with at least five regular-season goals in MLS history. Of that group of 27 players, seven have scored at least one goal in a Montreal jersey.

As for their opponents, Sporting Kansas City remains the only team in MLS without a win this season with an overall record of 0-6-3. At Children's Mercy Park, the team has scored once in three games. Their attack, however, finally broke through in a 3-0 win on Tuesday as the club hosted Tulsa Athletic (NPSL) in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup.
