Club de Foot Montreal News Release

MONTRÉAL - CF Montréal returns to Stade Saputo this Saturday for its annual Pride match against the New England Revolution at 7:30pm (MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, TSN 690).

In the thick of the MLS Cup playoff race with 10 games to go this season, the Montrealers will play six of those fixtures at home, where the team holds an 8-3-0 record in 2023.

Historically, the Bleu-blanc-noir have a 12-15-3 record against New England, with a -5 goal difference. At Stade Saputo, however, Montreal has a record of 6-5-2 and +5. In their last meeting against the Revs, the Montrealers suffered a 4-0 setback on April 8 at Gillette Stadium. The previous year, Montreal had managed to sweep the series against the Massachusetts side, shutting out the opponent 5-0 on aggregate, including a 4-0 victory at Stade Saputo on August 20, 2022.

Several Pride-related activities will be held at Stade Saputo throughout the match as part of the Club's celebrations of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

BMO will also use the match to highlight its Rainbow Deposit campaign in support of Rainbow Railroad. BMO is encouraging fans to share photos of rainbows around the stadium on social media. For every image shared at the game on Saturday, BMO will donate $5 to Rainbow Railroad. BMO will also be distributing rainbow-coloured tattoos to fans on-site. Rainbow Railroad is a global not-for-profit organization that helps at-risk 2SLGBTQIA+ people get to safety worldwide. Based in the United States and Canada, it is an organization that helps 2SLGBTQIA+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics.

As for the Revolution, the club will be back on the pitch for the first time since August 7 after being eliminated by Querétaro 1(3)-1(4) in the Leagues Cup Round of 16. Having yet to resume its MLS regular season, the Revolution still sit second in the Eastern Conference with 43 points and a 3-4-4 road record. Additionally, the Americans will be arriving in Montreal without their head coach Bruce Arena, who has been placed on administrative leave since August 1.
