The Border Cats stretched their winning streak to three games Sunday afternoon with another come from behind 4-2 win over the Rochester Honkers at Mayo Field.
The Cats tied with game 2-2 with a single run in the 8th inning and then pushed across two more runs in the top of the 9th thanks to run scoring hits by Donnie Sellers and Carter McEachern (Trinity University). Grant McGown (Florida Tech) also notched one run on two hits and one RBI.
Kyle Von Ruden (University of Hawaii) pitched 3.2 scoreless innings for the win with three strikeouts while Mitch Kuebbing earned the save with a hitless 9th inning.
The Cats (7-5) look to complete the series Monday night in Rochester at 8:05 pm EST / 7:05 CST.
