
Cats Walk off with Inside the Park Homer

The SeaWolves dropped the rubber game of the series to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 7-6, on Sunday afternoon.
The SeaWolves jumped ahead in the top of the first inning against Fisher Cats starter Tayler Saucedo. Sergio Alcantara led off and reached on an infield single. Willi Castro followed and belted an opposite-field, two-run home run for a 2-0 lead. It was the first home run for Castro since coming over in the trade with Cleveland and his sixth of the season. With one out, Josh Lester reached on an error and was doubled home by Jake Rogers with two outs for a 3-0 advantage after a half inning.
New Hampshire tied the game in the home half of the second against Erie starter Alfred Gutierrez. Patrick Cantwell led off and connected on a solo home run making it 3-1. With two outs, Gunnar Heidt singled and Andrew Guillotte doubled putting runners on second and third. Forrest Wall singled home both baserunners, tying the game 3-3.
Erie regained the lead in the third. Daz Cameron doubled with one out and Lester clubbed a home run to straight away center making it 5-3. It was the 12th home run of the season for Lester.
New Hampshire closed the gap in the fourth. Eduard Pinto led off with a walk, moved to second on a wild pitch and got to third on an error. He scored on a one-out Guillotte base hit making it 5-4.
The Fisher Cats then took the lead in the sixth inning against the SeaWolves bullpen. Kurt Spomer got the first out of the inning but gave up a single to Guillotte. Erie then summoned lefty Caleb Thielbar to face Wall. Guillotte stole second and scored on a wall double, tying the game 5-5. With two outs. Bo Bichette doubled to plate Wall making it 6-5 Cats.
The SeaWolves tied the game in the top of the seventh. Alcantara led off with a single and Castro doubled him over to third. Cameron grounded out to short, scoring Alcantara making it a 6-6 game.
The game remained tied into the bottom of the ninth inning when Erie summoned righty John Schreiber. Jon Berti led off and won the game with a walk-off, inside the park home run.
Travis Bergen (2-1) earned the win for New Hampshire tossing 1.1 scoreless innings in relief.
Schreiber (1-6) took the loss allowing the run in the ninth inning.
Gutierrez took a no-decision for Erie allowing four runs on nine hits with two walks and six strikeouts in five innings.
Saucedo took a no-decision for the Cats allowing six runs, five earned, on 10 hits with no walks and three strikeouts in five-plus innings of work.
