The Binghamton Rumble Ponies defeated the Harrisburg Senators 7-2 in the rubber match of their three-game series Sunday afternoon at NYSEG Stadium. The Senators had a 2-1 lead before Binghamton scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth en route to the series win.

After Binghamton opened the scoring with a run on a pair of doubles in the first, the Senators tied the game with a run in the second. Following a two-out triple by Alec Keller, Drew Ward singled up the middle to knot the game at 1-1.

It remained 1-1 until the top of the sixth. With one out, Jake Noll doubled. The next batter, Dan Gamache, singled to center to score Noll and give the Senators the lead.

The advantage was short lived as the Rumble Ponies scored six runs in a 12-batter bottom of the inning to take a 7-2 lead. The first couple of runs scored on a throwing error by Senators shortstop Carter Kieboom, the next pair scored on a two-run single by Jhoan Urena, and final two scored on a bases loaded walk and hit by pitch.

Senators starter Sterling Sharp (3-2) allowed five runs on five hits across five innings. He was removed from the game with runners and second and third and nobody out in the sixth, with two runs home in the inning on the Kieboom error.

The Senators loaded the bases in the ninth before Binghamton reliever Stephen Nogosek struck out Noll to end the game and seal the 7-2 final.

Binghamton starter Kevin McGowan (1-2) worked five innings of one run ball to earn the win.

After an off-day on Monday, the Senators open a six-game homestand beginning with a three-game series against the Hartford Yard Goats which starts Tuesday night. Wirkin Estevez starts for the Senators against Hartford starter Jesus Tinoco. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at FNB Field.

The game can be heard on CBS Sports Harrisburg 96.5 & 95.3 FM and 1400 AM or at www.cbssportsharrisburg.com beginning at 6:15 p.m.
