MANCHESTER, NH - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats rallied for three runs over their final two at-bats to secure a 4-2 win over the Thunder on Monday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Domingo Acevedo labored through his first inning before settling in for another solid start. The Fisher Cats used a single and stolen base from Jon Berti and a single from Harold Ramirez to get the Cats on the board first. Acevedo then issued a pair of walks before settling in to a rhythm that kept the Cats to just three baserunners over his next five innings.

The Thunder took the lead in the top of the seventh with a rally against Jordan Romano. Romano surrendered a double to begin the inning to Billy Fleming and after a fly out by Bruce Caldwell, Kyle Holder drew a walk and both runners foun themselves in scoring position following a groundout. Jeff Hendrix stepped to the plate and delivered a two-run single to take the lead for the Thunder.

However, the Fisher Cats offense rallied back against Acevedo in their half of the seventh. Juan Kelly walked to start the inning and was bunted into scoring position by Gunnar Heidt. After Dalton Pompey flied out, Jon Berti singled through the right side to tie the game at two. Jordan Foley relieved Acevedo and surrendered a run-scoring double to Harold Ramirez to give the home team a 3-2 lead. Acevedo's 6.2 innings pitched was his longest start since June 26, 2017 (16 starts) against Richmond when he went 7.0 innings. On Monday he struck out a season-high seven batters.

The Fisher Cats added another run in the eighth on a bases loaded walk by Foley to give them the final tally. However, the Thunder offense nearly rallied back in the top of the ninth when Caldwell doubled, Holder followed him with a single and Zack Zehner walked to load the bases with one out. Travis Bergen came back to strike out Hendrix and pinch-hitter Trey Amburgey and he got Mandy Alvarez to fly out to right to strand the go-ahead run on first and end the game.

Holder led the Thunder offense with a two-hit night and Gosuke Katoh saw his eight-game on-base streak come to an end with an 0-for-4 night.

Your Thunder continue their road trip on Tuesday night at 5:05pm against the Fisher Cats beginning with the completion of a suspended game from April 30. Pre-game coverage begins at 4:50pm on 920 AM The Jersey and online www.TrentonThunder.com/Broadcast.
