Binghamton scored first for the third time in the series, but relinquished that lead in the fifth and never grabbed it back. Harol Gonzalez tossed six innings in his Double-A debut, allowing five runs on eight hits.
BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Justin Dunn readies for his seventh Eastern League start of the season and second against Portland. The 22-year-old has won back-to-back starts, including his July 3 outing at Portland. Dunn has whiffed 24 batters over his last three starts, tossing 12.2 innings. His win against Erie on July 8 was is first at NYSEG Stadium.
FLIP FLOP: After the 2017 All-Star break, the Rumble Ponies completed a four-game sweep at Reading, kickstarting a playoff-clinching second half of the season.
TEBOW'S HITTING STREAK: Tim Tebow extended his hitting streak to a season-best 11 games on Sunday with an eighth-inning single. He's one game away from tying his career-high (12) set with St. Lucie in 2017.
FOUR! On Sunday, Levi Michael became the second Rumble Pony to garner a four-hit game this season (Jeff McNeil, twice). All three four-hit performances were on the road.
HANDLING THE HEAT: Temperate for Sunday's first pitch in Akron was 90 degrees, the second-hottest first-pitch for Binghamton this season. The Rumble Ponies have not won this season (0-4) when the first-pitch temperature is above 87 degrees.
WELCOME BACK: The SeaDogs return to Binghamton for the first time since the first series of the season. The Rumble Ponies took all three from Portland at NYSEG Stadium, before splitting 12 games at Hadlock Field.
SHOW ME SOME GLOVE: After four straight errorless games, Binghamton has committed a blunder in five straight contests (6 total).
BROOM COUNTY: The Rumble Ponies have been swept six times this season. It's the first time since Binghamton's season-long eight-game losing streak (June 12 - 20) they've been swept.
TRIPLE DOUBLE: Binghamton remains the only team in the Eastern League to have at least 10 wins against two different teams (Erie - 12, New Hampshire - 10). The Rumble Ponies are one win from collecting their 10th against the Sea Dogs this season (9-6).
UP NEXT: Binghamton and Portland play a pair on Tuesday evening at NYSEG Stadium, starting at 5:35 PM. RHP Mickey Jannis faces LHP Dedgar Jimenez in game one.
