Two ways to register for Cats Cup:
The great Downtown Moncton Road Hockey Challenge, the Cats Cup, is set for Saturday, September 19th and you can register now. You'll find them in the Time&Transcript, L'Etoile and on our website www.moncton-wildcats.com . Ballots can be mailed or dropped off at Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc, 910 Main Street, Suite 103, Moncton, NB E1C 1G6. The contest closes September 15th with the winning participant announced on Thursday the 17th on our website and in the sports section of the Times& Transcript. Just 20 days to the annual Cats Cup to be played on Main Street on Saturday September 19th as part of our Home Opening Weekend.
28 Players now in camp:
The Wildcats have now trimmed their roster to 28 players; Slovakian Marek Hrivik arrived over the weekend as did Cole MacMillian, who was taking part in the Canada Games in Summerside, PEI. Seven players were released, goaltenders Frank Gallo and Brandon Decker, defencemen Adam Guy and Joe Dillon along with forwards Matt Tomah, Cedric Leblanc and Matt Milson. There's a practice session at the 4-Plex this morning at 11. The Cats have two exhibition games remaining, Friday night at the Charlottetown Civic Centre and Saturday at the O'Leary Community Sports Centre. Both games start at 7pm.
Your Season Flex Packages can now be picked up:
If you've purchased your Season Flex Packs they are now available at the Wildcats office, each day from 10am to 6pm. To redeem your flex tickets prior to public sale, you can do so at the Coliseum Box Office from tomorrow to Friday, September 4th. Individual single game tickets will go on sale starting September 5th. Those who have season seats are reminded that September 9th is the pickup date. Season Home Opening weekend gets closer:
It will all start on Friday the 18th with live entertainment on the Irving Soundstage in the Coliseum parking lot, the Cavendish Fry Cart will be giving away fries, magic will be in the air with performances by a magician, public tours of the Wildcats bus, and for kids, face painting. All this takes place before fans move inside the Coliseum for the start of the game with the PEI Rocket. The jam-packed, exciting weekend, continues Saturday with the Cats Cup and team Bar-B-Q downtown and Sunday afternoon more excitement as the Cats take on the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
