Montgomery, AL - Daniel Castro struck for five hits in five tries on Tuesday night including the game-tying home run in the eighth and the Mississippi Braves soared to a late comeback 7-4 win over the Montgomery Biscuits at Riverwalk Stadium.

Trailing 4-3 with five outs left, Castro jumped on a Cory Burns (0-1) pitch for a solo home run, his first double-A blast to tie the game. That was his fourth hit of the night, adding on a single in the ninth for the first five-hit game since Eric Duncan did it for the Braves on May 31, 2010 against the Biscuits.

The next batter Barrett Kleinknecht pumped one up the middle off the glove of the pitcher, beating out the recovery throw for an infield single. Mycal Jones sent a 1-1 pitch sailing to the top of the wall in left, a triple to give the Braves (12-8; 51-38) the lead for good 5-4. Jose Peraza drove him in with an RBI double- his fourth hit of the day- and the Braves had hit for the cycle in a span of four batters.

For insurance in the ninth, Cedric Hunter hit a monster home run to right, his ninth of the year, to extend the lead to 7-4.

The late comeback brought Mitch Atkins (4-0) the win, allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits over seven innings. He struck out six and didn't allow a walk. Chasen Shreve came on and retired the final six Biscuits (10-10; 45-45) to pick up his sixth save in as many tries.

Prior to the late frames, it was a back and forth ballgame, and Biscuits right-fielder Taylor Motter had a big hand in it. In the first inning, he gave the Biscuits a jolt with a two-out solo home run, his sixth of the year.

The Braves came back in the second. Kyle Kubitza and Castro hit back-to-back doubles, with Castro's tying the game. Kleinknecht brought Castro home with a single to take a 2-1 Braves lead.

Montgomery came back to tie it in the second with back-to-back doubles of their own by Kes Carter and Jake Depew. The Braves regained the lead at 3-2 in the third with consecutive singles by Matt Kennelly and Hunter, with Kennelly scoring on a groundout by Kubitza.

The Biscuits bounced right back in the third. Ryan Brett laid down a bunt single, stole second and scored on a Cameron Seitzer two-out double.

The game stayed tied until Motter hit his second home run of the game, a solo shot in the sixth to give the Biscuits their 4-3 lead.

Burns took the loss and suffered a blown save, both firsts on the season for Montgomery, allowing three runs in the eighth on four hits. Mike Colla in the start allowed three runs earned on 11 hits over 5 2/3 innings of work, striking out four.

After an off day Wednesday, the Braves return home to take on the Mobile BayBears in a five-game set beginning Thursday night at Trustmark Park. Right-hander Jason Hursh (6-6, 4.08) takes the hill in the series opener against BayBears right-hander AJ Schugel (4-1, 3.81), with first pitch slated for 7:00 PM CT.
