
Castro Flies To Philly

OTTAWA - LHP Fabio Castro has been recalled by the Philadelphia Phillies while RHP Brian Sanches was activated from the Lynx Temporarily Inactive list yesterday.
Castro, 22, is 5-5 with a 3.76 ERA in 20 games with the Lynx, including six starts. He was with the Phillies earlier this season, compiling no record with a 12.27 ERA in five games in the Major Leagues. Castro also played 11 games with Double-A Reading. He was 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA out of the R-Phils bullpen.
Sanches, 29, appeared in last night's game, earning his team-leading 15th save of the season. He has accumulated a 2-3 record with a 4.86 ERA in 35 games with Ottawa, including one start. Sanches has struck out 50 batters and walked only seven. He also made 11 appearances with the Phillies this season, going 1-1 with a 6.39 ERA.
Comic Relief: The Lynx welcome hundreds of summer campers this afternoon for the last Camp Day of the season. Kids 14 and under will receive a free Marvel comic, entitled Triple-A Baseball Heroes. The comic features Marvel characters Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk, The Fantastic Four and Iron Man and is set at the 2007 Triple-A All-Star Game in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
