FORT MILL, S.C. - August 21, 2007 - The Charlotte Knights present American Red Cross Cap Night this Friday, August 24. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Knights hat courtesy of the American Red Cross and Time Warner Cable. The Knights also have added a special fireworks show following the game.
In addition to the free Knights hat, fans can receive a free general admission ticket for that night's game by donating blood. The Red Cross will have their blood mobile in front of Knights Stadium from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. that evening. Following the last out of the game, the Knights present the final fireworks show of the season presented by Bank of America, the Charlotte Observer, Time Warner Cable and NewsTalk 1110-WBT.
The Carolinas Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross, which supplies blood to approximately 103 hospitals, needs 1,600 blood donors each day in order to adequately meet patients' needs. Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in general good health.
