Doug Clark sent everyone home from the August 20th game with a free chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A by hitting a home run off the Chick-fil-A "Eat Mor Fowl" pole in right-field. Fans who were in attendance can take their ticket stub to any Richmond area Chick-fil-A within 7 days of the game to receive a free chicken sandwich.
The famous Chick-fil-A cows will be hanging on the "Fowl Poles" all year and hope to give away more free chicken sandwiches this season whenever a Braves player hits either pole.
National Sweepstakes
The winner of the national Take Me Fishing baseball sweepstakes is George Hans of Ankeny, Iowa, who beat out all of the other Triple-A fans from 27 teams to take home the grand prize.

Meet the Richmond Braves as they sign autographs on the field before the game from 12:45 - 1:15. The line for autographs will start at the field gate located on the aisle between sections 107 and 108. Due to time constraints, players will only be able to sign one item per fan.
R-BRAVES FALL IN EXTRA INNINGS
Richmond, VA - The Norfolk Tides beat the Richmond Braves 8-7 in 12 innings Monday at The Diamond. The Tides pushed an un-earned run across in the 12th to gain a split of the four game series in Richmond's longest game of the season. The Braves lead over idle Durham is now a half game.
This starting pitcher for Atlanta had an ERA under two for two straight seasons, yet did not win 20 games in either. How many total games did he win over the two years and what was his ERA over that span?
A. Greg Maddux 35 wins with an ERA of 1.60
B. Tim Hudson 30 wins with an ERA of 1.80

Answer:Greg Maddux had ERAs of 1.56 and 1.63 in 1994-95, but won only 16 and 19 for a total of 35. His composite ERA over that span was 1.60.
Wyeth Hat Giveaway and State Employee Night

The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a free hat courtesy of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. Also, state employees can receive $3.50 G.A. tickets when pre-ordering 25 or more.
It is also Bike Night and groups of 10 or more riders can pre-purchase G.A. for $3.50 or Box Seats for $8. Bikes will have a special section roped off in the parking lot behind the outfield wall and all bikes are automatically entered into our contest. The owner of the "Best In Show Bike" will win 2 tickets to a future game and their bike will be displayed by the main gates during the game. The bike show will last from 4 - 6:15 and all riders are invited to participate in our pre-game parade starting at 6:30 outside the stadium near the 1st base picnic area.
