Norfolk Tides News Release

Alberto Castillo homered and drove in four, powering Norfolk's 12-hit attack in a 7-4 win over the Ottawa Lynx in front of 9,147 fans at Harbor Park Saturday night.

Castillo lined a two-run single in a three-run 1st for the Tides, then slugged a two-run home run deep into left field in the 8th. The four runs driven in set a season-high Castillo, as Norfolk won their 4th straight contest over the Lynx.

J.R. House finished a triple short of the cycle, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. House is now hitting .387 (24-for-62) with three home runs and 11 RBI in July, and he has collected seven multi-hit games in 14 contests since the All-Star Break.

Jon Knott also added three hits on the evening, while Tike Redman added two singles.

Craig Anderson (5-2) picked up his 10th win of the season, allowing one earned run on four hits in 7.0 innings of work. The southpaw now has 10 wins between Norfolk and Bowie this season, tops among all Orioles minor leaguers. He is 4-0 with a 1.42 ERA in his last five starts, walking six and striking out 18 over that span.

Francis Beltran pitched a scoreless 9th for Norfolk, earning his second save of the season.

Landon Jacobsen (1-5) went the distance for Ottawa, allowing seven runs - four earned - in eight innings of work. The Lynx offense was led by catcher Jason Jaramillo, who went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Norfolk and Ottawa will square off in game two of their series on Sunday night, with right-hander Jon Leicester (1-2, 3.09) slated to take the hill for the Tides against Ottawa southpaw J.A. Happ (2-5, 5.50). First pitch is set for 6:15 p.m.
