
Carter, Cats win again 6-2

Charles Carter was 2-for-4 with two RBIs as the Cats defeated Pensacola 6-2 on Saturday night at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth.
The win was the Cats' second straight, 22nd of the year and fifth in a row over the Pelicans.
The Cats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning on a two-run triple by Carter. Carter scored one batter later on Ken Lup's infield single.
The Pelicans rallied as shortstop Scott Madsen belted his first career home run to cut the Cats lead to 3-2.
But Fort Worth added to its lead in the fourth inning as Carter doubled, stole third base and came home to score on a throwing error by catcher Dylan Parzyk.
John Allen extended the lead in the fifth inning as he belted his seventh home run of the season, a two-run shot to make it 6-2 Fort Worth.
Tim Haines (3-1) earned the win in his second start as he went six innings and allowed two runs on four hits. Cory Walters suffered his fifth loss of the season as he permitted six runs on seven hits in seven inning of work.
Matt Reilly and Jon Hunton combined for three scoreless innings to finish the game.
The series concludes on Sunday afternoon at 2:05 p.m. Dan Grybash (3-2) takes the mound for the Cats and Dane DeValk (2-2) on the hill for the Pelicans.
