Carrozzi Back Between Pipes for Ontario

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, have announced that goaltender Chris Carrozzi has been re-assigned to the team from the AHL's St. John's IceCaps Monday, March 19, 2012.

Carrozzi, 22, was recalled on March 12, 2012 and dressed as the IceCaps' back-up goaltender for a total of six games.

The 6-foot-2, Nepean, Ontario native has played in 28 games with the Reign recording a career-high 2.29 goals against average and 0.921 save percentage and a professional high, three shutouts. Carrozzi's record with the Reign is 16-6-4 this season. The goaltender boasted an 11-game unbeaten streak (9-0-2) from December 29, 2011 to February 4, 2012. In his next Reign game, Carrozzi will pick up where he left off with a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1).

Drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round (#154 overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, the club assigned Carrozzi to the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators where he spent the majority of his rookie season, playing in 47 games, posting a 3.23 goals against average and a 0.894 save percentage. In the same season, Carrozzi made his AHL debut with the Chicago Wolves in one game that ended in a 5-6 overtime loss.
