Stingrays Prepare for Big Three-Game Series vs. Everblades

The Week That Was. The South Carolina Stingrays closed a six-game homestand this week against the Greenville Road Warriors and Cincinnati Cyclones for a week record of 1-0-0-1. The Stingrays and Road Warriors collided Friday night at the North Charleston Coliseum. Forward Billy Ryan scored a pair of goals, but the Stingrays fell in the shootout 3-2. The Stingrays and Cyclones met for the final time on Saturday with the Stingrays prevailing 4-2. Defenseman Phil Oreskovic scored a goal and an assist and forward Matt Scherer added two assists.

Taking the Lead

The Stingrays are third in the South Division with 77 points and sixth overall in the Eastern Conference.

Forward Trent Campbell is tied for first in the ECHL with four shorthanded assists.

Defenseman Johann Kroll is tied for first in the ECHL and among league defensemen with a +22 rating.

Forward Pierre-Luc O'Brien is tied for third in the ECHL with a plus-minus rating of +21.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer is third with a 2.22 goals-against average, tied for third with 23 wins and fifth with 2536 minutes played and a .918 save percentage.

Defensemen Zach Tarkir is first among ECHL defensemen with five game-winning goals and tied for 16th with 30 points (10g, 20a).

Defenseman Derek Keller is tied for third among D-men with two shorthanded assists.
