
Carolina RailHawks to Host a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Match on June 1

The RailHawks will host the winner of the May 18 match between Charlotte Eagles & Charlotte Independence
CARY, NC - U.S. Soccer announced the Third Round pairings for the 103rd Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with the RailHawks hosting the Third Round match on Wednesday, June 1st at WakeMed Soccer Park.
The RailHawks will host the winner of the Second Round match between Charlotte Independence (USL) and Charlotte Eagles (PDL).
"The US Open Cup is a competition we take seriously," said RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke. "We've had great success and a lot of great results over the years, so we are definitely looking forward to start with this year's competition."
NASL clubs that advance to the fourth round will compete against Major League Soccer (MLS) sides. The RailHawks have had success in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Tournament in recent years advancing deep into the tournament and defeating the likes of Chivas USA and the LA Galaxy over the last four years.
