Indy Eleven News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - Indy Eleven Professional Soccer is celebrating another substantial moment for the growth of "Indiana's Team" and the sport of soccer in the Hoosier State with the formation of the Indy Eleven Soccer Foundation.
The mission of the Indy Eleven Soccer Foundation is to provide Indiana's youth with positive experiences by supporting educational, soccer and other athletic programs and facilities, all of which will promote healthy lifestyles and character development in under-served communities throughout the State of Indiana.
"Indy Eleven believes that professional sports teams are a community asset and have an obligation to help make their community a better place to live, work and recreate," said Indy Eleven owner and Indy Eleven Soccer Foundation board member Ersal Ozdemir. "Sports have a unique way of bringing people together. Through this foundation, we will search for ways in which soccer can unite our communities and strengthen the character of the next generation of leaders in Indiana and beyond."
The Indy Eleven Soccer Foundation will look to improve quality of life, help build a promising future and leave a legacy with lasting impact on children across the Hoosier State, utilizing soccer and other vehicles as tools to achieve these goals.
"Indy Eleven has done a fantastic job with grass roots outreach and creating strong community bonds in its first few years, making the creation of the Indy Eleven Soccer Foundation a logical next step in the club's growth," said Indy Eleven president and Indy Eleven Soccer Foundation board member Jeff Belskus.
