The loss was also his eighth away from home season and came during his 15th and final road start of the year. Franco finished the year at 3-8 with a 6.43 ERA over 15 road starts, but is 2-4 with a 2.91 ERA at home... Lawlor is 1-5 and has pitched to a 4.99 ERA over 13 games and six starts this season. He most recently has appeared solely out of the bullpen since returning from the disabled list in August. He started the 2015 season as a starter and was 1-2 with a 4.66 ERA in six starts before eventually landing on the disabled list before the end of the first half.

TWIN BILLS: The Mudcats are 8-18 in doubleheaders this season and currently lead the CL in most doubleheaders (13) played this year. AUGUST LOWS: Only the Florida State League's Brevard County Manatees (4-25, .138, MIL) and Southern League's Birmingham Barons (5-24, .172, CWS) finished with a lower winning percentage in August than the Mudcats (6-22, .214, ATL) in Minor League Baseball. The Mudcats started August 2-0, but were 4-22 through the remainder of the month with losing streaks of 10 and in August (separated by one game).

50 BELOW: The Mudcats are one of five full season MiLB teams with fewer than 50 overall wins this season: Brevard County Manatees (40-96, .294, FSL, MIL), Dayton Dragons (47-91, .341, MWL, CIN), Inland Empire 66ers (47-91, .341, CAL, LAA), Birmingham Barons (49-89, .355, SOU, CWS) and Carolina Mudcats (49-87, .360, CAR, ATL).

RECORDS TO AVOID: The Mudcats have won a league low 49 games this season and are a league worst 49-87 (.360). Carolina's franchise record for fewest wins in a season is 52 and was set in 1992 when the Mudcats finished at just 52-92 (.361).
