Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Condors Care-A-Van keeps on trucking, heading up to Tehachapi on Wednesday, August 20th. It's the fifth location visited by the Care-A-Van, following stops in Frazier Park, Lake Isabella, Ridgecrest and Taft.

Condors winger Paul Rosebush, Director of Community Relations and Development John Ayre and online auction winner Rocky Morea are making the trip. Morea, 12, was the winner of an auction on the Condors website, www.bakersfieldcondors.com, benefiting the American Red Cross – Kern Chapter, that allows him to tag along with the Care-A-Van.

The day starts at Benz Propane, located at 416 Denison Road in Tehachapi. Rosebush and Ayre will meet and greet the nearly-100 employees from 2:00-3:00pm. After that, it's off to Jacobson Jr. High School (126 Snyder Rd.) for an instructional clinic with Rosebush and the Tehachapi Inline Hockey Association from 3:00-5:00pm. The 12 and under group will skate at 3:00pm and the 13-18 year-olds follow at 4:00pm.

After the clinic, the Care-A-Van heads down the road to Bear Valley Springs for dinner with the Bear Valley Community Club. The meeting takes place at the Bear Valley Springs Country Club at 29541 Rolling Oak Drive.

Each Care-A-Van stop benefits Goodwill Industries. At each location on Wednesday, fans are encouraged to bring a donation to Goodwill Industries, for which they will receive a voucher good for free admission to Opening Night on October 17th.

If your business or community organization would like to host the Care-A-Van, contact the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825).

The Condors make their ECHL debut in just 61 days, on Friday, October 17th, hosting Fresno Falcons for Opening Night. Season ticket packages are available starting at just $48, and group outings are also available.
