Lafayette, LA â Louisiana IceGators general manager Brian Kelley announced on Tuesday that T.D. Smith will once again be the in-house announcer at the Cajundome for the team's games in the 2003-04 season. Smith has been the public address voice of the IceGators since the team's inception in 1995.
"T.D. has been an integral part of this franchise since 1995," said Kelley. "We are very happy to have him back."
"I'm thrilled to be part of this year's team," said T.D., part of the "Bruce and T.D. Show" from 5-10 a.m. on 97.3 The Dawg. "I'm so thankful for the new local ownership that has given all of us hockey fans in Lafayette another chance."
Louisiana opens its ninth ECHL season at Mississippi on Friday, Oct. 17, at 7:35 p.m. The Sea Wolves travel to the Cajundome the next night for the IceGators' 7:05 p.m. home opener. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are on sale now and can be purchased by calling (337)234-4423. Full season packages start at just $288, while children ages 4-12 can have season tickets for only $225 in any level, including rinkside, with an adult purchase.
