Cardinals Return to Hammons Field Tonight

Springfield, MO - The Cardinals will begin a six-game homestand tonight starting with a three game set against the San Antonio Missions at 7:07pm. St. Louis Cardinals top Prospect Shelby Miller is scheduled to pitch for Springfield against lefty Pedro Hernandez.

Thursday continues the series with the Missions and is the ever popular "Buck a Brat" Night featuring $1 Johnsonville Bratwurst all night long.

Friday concludes the first leg of the homestand against San Antonio and AM Pyrotechnics Friday Night Fireworks will light up the sky following the game. Also, our friends at Empire Bank will provide 5,000 Springfield Cardinals Fans to help keep you cool in the "dog days" of August.

Saturday, the Corpus Christi Hooks will come to town for the final time this season and 2,500 fans will receive an athletic Cardinals T-Shirt thanks to St. John's Hospital. It is also the Paint Your Own Louie Bobblehead contest presented by Great Southern during the game. 5,000 fans received this once in a lifetime keepsake and designed the Cardinals' lovable mascot however they pleased and Saturday will showcase their creativity. Prizes will be awarded to the most unique design and most life-like representation of Louie!

Every Sunday is Hiland Dairy Ice Cream Sunday where all kids coming into the park receive a free ice cream treat on the Prime Patio prior to the game and kids run the bases after the game thanks to the Missouri National Guard. Also, the Cardinals will celebrate Manager Ron "Pop" Warner with a bobblehead thanks to Vision Clinic and Oakley Sunglasses for 2,500 fans.

Monday concludes the homestand and brings another Fazoli's Four Pack night where a family of four will receive four tickets, four shirts and a family meal for four at Fazoli's for just $40! Tickets can be purchased at the Hammons Field ticket office or at any Fazoli's in Springfield or Joplin. So, come on out to take advantage of this terrific deal! Shelby Miller is slated to pitch again at Hammons Field, so don't miss the chance to catch this future star of the St. Louis Cardinals right in your own back yard!
