Tulsa, OK - The Springfield Cardinals (15-28) plated one and got the tying run to third in the top of the 9th, but the Tulsa Drillers (24-19) escaped for the 4-3 win on Wednesday night.

After allowing three runs on three hits in the 1st, LHP Tyler Pike retired his final 16 batters in a row to carry the Cardinals through the 6th inning... 3B Brendan Donovan got the Cards on the board with a two-run home run in the 8th... RF Alec Burleson struck with an RBI single in the 9th, part of a 2-4 night... SS Delvin Perez went 1x3 with a single to extend his hitting streak to 10 games... RHP Ramon Santos retired his first three batters in the 7th, combining with Pike to put down 20 Drillers in a row from the final out in the 1st through the 7th... Tulsa RHP Ryan Periot was perfect through his first 4.0 innings and faced the minimum in 6.0 one-hit frames.
