December 17, 2021 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Madison Capitols News Release
The Madison Capitols look to bounce back at home tomorrow night against the Dubuque Fighting Saints after falling in tonight's series opener, 6-1.
The Fighting Saints jumped out to 4-0 lead before Capitols defenseman Michael Quinn tapped in a rebound for his second goal of the season at 10:15 of the 2nd period. Forward Kyle Kukkonen put a wrist shot on net from the high slot and Quinn was there to clean up the rest.
The Capitols held the second best power play in the league scoreless this evening. Blanking them on all three of their power play opportunities, Madison was lock down on special teams tonight.
The Caps and Fighting Saints battle it out one more time this weekend when they take the ice at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena tomorrow night. Puck drop slated for 7:05 p.m.
