
Caps Celebrate Fans in Home Ice Finale Friday

Madison, WI - The Madison Capitols (24-26-5-3), who are 7-2-0 in their last nine games at the Alliant Energy Center, end their home-ice slate as they welcome the Bloomington Thunder (36-18-3-1) on Friday for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
Tonight is Fan Appreciation Night as the Capitols celebrate their second season back in the USHL. Fans can purchase $10 tickets for this special evening by visiting www.MadCapsHockey.com.
On the ice, the Capitols will look to avoid being swept by Bloomington this season and falling to 1-7-0 overall. The Capitols last defeated the Thunder at the Alliant Energy Center on March 8, 2015 by a final score of 3-0.
The Thunder are looking to move up their playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference, as they enter play just three points behind second-place Green Bay and tied with Dubuque with 76 points on the campaign.
The Capitols' next victory would set their franchise record for wins in a season, eclipsing the 24 they put up in 2014-15.
In the teams' last meeting on March 26 in Bloomington, the Thunder used a 3-for-3 power play to race to a 5-1 win, while Hayden Lavigne made 30 stops to knock off the Caps. It was Madison's first regulation loss since March 5.
The Capitols will finish their 2015-16 season on the road Sunday in Chicago against the Steel. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. on 106.7 FM, 1670 AM, The Zone.
