Kane County Cougars Fans Offered Free Tickets to Steel Game Friday
April 8, 2016 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Chicago Steel News Release
GENEVA, ILLINOIS - On a unique night when both teams were scheduled to play, the Chicago Steel hockey team will open its doors Friday night to fans of the neighboring Kane County Cougars baseball team. Following the cancelation of tonight's Cougars game due to inclement weather, fans who show a ticket to the Cougars game will receive free entry to the Chicago Steel's 7:30 p.m. home game against the Muskegon Lumberjacks at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
"It's the neighborly thing to do," said Steel President Dan Lehv. "When you see your neighbors and their guests locked out in the cold, you invite them inside. That's what we're doing tonight. We should warn them that it's still going to be cold - we are a hockey team, after all."
Fans that show tickets to tonight's Cougars game at the Steel Box Office inside Fox Valley Ice Arena will receive an equal quantity of free tickets to tonight's hockey game. Those fans will retain their Cougars tickets for use at a future Cougars game, according to the baseball team's raincheck policy.
For more information, call 855-51-STEEL, stop by the Box Office inside Fox Valley Ice Arena or visit ChicagoSteelHockeyTeam.com.
