Capitals to Unveil Military Appreciation Jersey

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Capitals are honouring the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces at this Friday's game against the Calgary Vipers with Military Appreciation Night, and their commemorative jersey will be unveiled at CFB Edmonton on Wednesday afternoon.

The Caps are currently squaring off against the provincial rival Vipers for the North American League North Division title, with a battle of Alberta playoff series looming on the horizon for next week. Heading into Wednesday's double-header in Calgary, Edmonton sat in first with a 0.5 game lead.

The Caps will wear commemorative camouflage jerseys for Friday's Military Appreciation Night game back in Edmonton. The jerseys will then be autographed and auctioned off after the game, with proceeds going to the Soldier On program, which improves the quality of life of injured or ill Canadian Forces personnel and former personnel.
