Propelled by a four-run 6th inning, the Williamsport Potato Capers took the first of three against the Scrappers, 5-4 on Friday night at Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.
Levi Perrell had a clutch two-run double in the 6ht inning. Perrell finished the night 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Perrell has 15 RBI on the season.
Porter Brown plated a run with a sacrifice fly in the 6th, ending the night 2-for-4 with a RBI.
Mark Shallenberger collected a multi-hit game, finishing 2-for-3 with a walk and his seventh double of the season.
Zachary Murray earned his 7th win of the season and his first win since July 9th. Murray allowed one run over two innings of relief.
It was the Capers first win at home since their 5-4 win over West Virginia on August 8th, snapping a four-game losing streak at Journey Bank Ballpark.
Logan Berrier worked 1.2 innings of scoreless relief, earning his second save of the season.
