
Canucks Sign Centre Cole Cassels

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Michael D. Gillis announced today that the Canucks have signed centre Cole Cassels.
The Columbus, OH, native has compiled 43 penalty minutes and ranks fourth in scoring on the OHL Oshawa Generals with 28 points (12-16-28) through 24 games played. The 6'0" centreman has recorded eight power play goals to share the team lead in power play goals.
Cassels was originally selected by Vancouver 85th overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He follows in the footsteps of his father Andrew, who signed with Vancouver July 13, 1999, and recorded 168 points (40-128-168) in 198 games with the Canucks.
