Morning Skate: Bulls Host Generals in Wednesday Night Matchup

BELLEVILLE, ON - The Bulls face a challenging Wednesday night task at home to the Eastern Conference leading Oshawa Generals tonight at the Yardmen. It's Oshawa's first visit of the season to Belleville after they defeated the Bulls twice at the General Motors Centre earlier this season. Despite the disparity in the Eastern Conference standings, the Bulls have played Oshawa tough this season, falling 3-2 on October 4th and 6-5 in a shootout on November 10th. The Bulls and Generals will battle in Oshawa again this coming Sunday at 6:05pm.
The Bulls have dropped their last two contests in matchups against Peterborough and Kingston. They've been without goaltender Charlie Graham for the past five games after he suffered an upper body injury on November 19th in Ottawa. In Graham's absence, goaltender Braydon Banitsiotis has stepped in and done a stellar job, posting a .908 save percentage.
Special teams have played a large role in the success of the Generals this season as they boast the league's 2nd ranked powerplay and 1st ranked penalty kill. Cole Cassels, Michael Dal Colle, Scott Laughton and Josh Sterk have combined for 30 powerplay goals, leading the man advantage.
Oshawa netminder Daniel Altshuller leads the OHL in wins with 18. The Carolina Hurricanes prospect has put together a 2.57 goals against average and a .918 save percentage while playing the second most minutes in the league.
Contributing to their 21-7-0-1 record on the season is a league leading 11 wins on the road as the Generals have played to an 11-3-0-0 clip away from the General Motors Centre.
Cameron Brace has points in 12 of his last 13 games and 8 points in 7 games as a Belleville Bull. He and his mates square off with an Oshawa club that comes off a 2-1 loss to Kingston on Sunday night.
