Canucks Recall Josh Green

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled forward Josh Green.

Green, 28, has played in nine games so far this year with Vancouver, scoring his first two goals with the Canucks back on Nov. 30 vs. Colorado & Dec. 1 @ Edmonton. The Camrose, AB native also has four penalty minutes. Green has now played in 241 career games in the NHL with the Rangers, Islanders, Los Angeles, Edmonton, Calgary, Washington, and Vancouver. He has scored 31 goals and 32 assists for 61 points and 158 penalty minutes.

After missing the past month with a hand injury, Green has played in 21 games with the Moose this season, scoring six goals and 14 assists for 20 points and 23 penalty minutes. Overall, Green has played in 88 career games with Manitoba, scoring 27 goals and 33 assists for 60 points and 95 penalty minutes. Green was Manitoba's leading scorer during last season's Calder Cup playoffs, collecting nine goals and five assists for 14 points in 14 games.

He was originally the second choice of the Los Angeles Kings, 30th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
