Canucks assign six to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks today announced they have assigned six players to the Manitoba Moose.

Assigned directly to the Moose include:

Taylor Ellington Defence

Pierre-Cedric Labrie Left Wing

Evan Oberg Defence

Eric Walsky Right Wing

Players released by the Canucks from their PTO's and subsequently assigned to the Moose include:

Darren Machesney Goaltender

Travis Ramsey Defence

The Moose roster now stands at remaining 29 players who will travel to Abbotsford, BC as the Moose will face the Heat in a pair of exhibition games beginning Friday, September 25th at 9:30 CT and Sunday, September 27th at 7:00 CT.

The Moose will then open their 14th regular season on Friday, Oct. 2nd against the Houston Aeros at the MTS Centre. Gametime is 7:30 p.m. Fans can buy tickets to that game and all other individual Moose games at all Ticketmaster locations or by calling 780-3333 or by going online at www.ticketmaster.ca or www.moosehockey.com. Fans can also still purchase season tickets and mini-packs by calling the Moose offices directly at 987-7825 (PUCK).
