March 11, 2010 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Lethbridge Hurricanes News Release
Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes will play host to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, March 12th at the ENMAX Centre in what will be the Canes final home game of the season. The Canes currently carry a 2-4-0-0 record into this final home and home with their Southern Alberta rivals this season. Their last meeting resulted in a 3-2 OT win for the Canes on December 30th in Lethbridge - on that night a few key saves from Lethbridge goaltender Brandon Anderson pushed the game to overtime before Magrath native Mitch Maxwell was able to put the puck past Tigers net minder Tyler Bunz to give the Hurricanes the two points.
This game also marks Pepsi Fan Appreciation Night at the ENMAX Centre which will once again be highlighted by fan giveaways and of course, the Hurricanes Annual Year End Awards Night. Eleven Player Awards will be doled out this season in a special pregame ceremony so be sure to get to your seats early as the Canes dish out some hardware.
The Hurricanes will also say good bye and congratulations to their three overage players on this night - Linden Rowat, Dustin Donaghy and Captain Carter Bancks. Be sure to stick around after the game as all three will be a part of the Hurricanes Team Autograph Session following the game. To mark their graduation, all three of these players will have special silent auction items for sale on the main concourse with all proceeds going to the Hurricanes Education Fund. Items include a game worn and autographed Carter Bancks Jersey! Don't miss out on these one of a kind items!
Game time is 7:00 PM MST and tickets can be purchased by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Office, the Yates Theatre Centre, by calling (403) 329-SEAT or online at: lethbridgehurricanes.com.
