Canes Recall Brody Sutter from Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled center Brody Sutter from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Sutter, 24, has totaled 21 points (11g, 10a) and 33 penalty minutes in 62 AHL games with the Checkers this season. The Viking, Alb., native is in his fourth full professional season, and has totaled 35 goals and 45 assists (80 points) in 203 career games with the Checkers. Sutter (6'5", 203 lbs.) has appeared in four career NHL games with Carolina, all during the 2014-15 season. He was the Hurricanes' seventh-round pick (193rd overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft.
