Sioux Falls Canaries News Release

(Sioux Falls, SD) - The Birdcage will be rockin' on Friday, July 28th as the Canaries host the most cherished of all South Dakota summer-time traditions - the Street Dance.

The event will feature the Jukebox Zeroes, one the Sioux Empire's most beloved bands. The JBZ's (as they are known to their fans) are made up of some of the most-accomplished musicians in the area and play high-energy rock and roll from the '70's and '80's. This five-piece unit is a true party band.

For the first time at a Birdcage street dance, the Cartwright Brothers will be sans the Split Pea Band. The Cartwright Brothers, who will open the Street Dance, have been entertaining audiences for over fifteen years with their musical talent and wild sense of humor. The group is considered by many to be a premier act of the Dakotas and will bring a unique mix of rock and roll, acoustic, and comedy to the Birdcage. Corey Moss of VH-1 Television said "The Cartwright Brothers are to Lake Okoboji, as Jimmy Buffett is to Key West."

The Street Dance will be held under the grandstands on the right-field side of the stadium. The west gates will open at 6:30PM with the music to start at 7:00PM. The event is open to all ages and tickets are just $3.00 in advance and at the door. Tickets can be ordered by calling the Canaries office at 605.333.0179.
