Starting pitcher Andy Torres pitched 7 1/3 scoreless innings to lead El Paso past Shreveport 1-0. Torres allowed just five hits in the game on the way to his fourth win of the year. Relief pitcher Joslin Ramirez pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up his fifth save of the season. DH Michael Harkins went 2-for-3 and drove in the Diablos' lone run to lead El Paso at the plate. Despite taking the loss, Shreveport starting pitcher Bert Snow was impressive, allowing just one run on three hits over six innings of work.

Sioux Falls 5, Pensacola 3

2B Ralph Santana went 3-for-5 and scored a run to help push Sioux Falls past Pensacola 5-3. C Dennis Anderson added a hit and two RBI to the Canaries offensive attack as well. Starting pitcher Tony Cogan picked up the win and improved his record to 5-1 on the season. Relief pitcher Lenny Bays pitched a scoreless ninth inning to get his first save of the year. LF George Branch led Pensacola in the losing cause, with two hits and two RBI including his sixth homerun of the season.

Coastal Bend 4, Fort Worth 2

Starting pitcher Pedro Flores pitched seven scoreless innings to help Coastal Bend past Fort Worth 4-2. Flores allowed just two hits and struck out eight Cats batters in the game to improve to 3-2 on the season. RF Rodney Medina went 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Aviators at the plate. Fort Worth C Adam Miller went 1-for-3 with a homerun and two RBI to lead the Cats in the losing effort. It was Miller's first homerun of the season.

Huguet allowed no runs over 1 2/3 innings of work to pick up the win and improve to 2-1 on the season. Relief pitcher Jamie Tricoglou pitched a scoreless ninth inning to tally his sixth save of the year. Lincoln LF Cory Harris led the Saltdogs in the losing effort with a homerun and two RBI in the game. For Harris, it was his 11th homerun of the season.

Starting pitcher Tom Lipari went eight innings, allowing just one run on seven hits to help Sioux City past St. Paul 3-1. The win improves Lipari's record to 6-2 on the season. Relief pitcher Sean Kramer pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up his eighth save of the year. LF Jorge Moreno led the Explorers at the plate with a hit and two RBI. Despite taking the loss, St. Paul starting pitcher Charlie Ruud was effective, allowing three runs over eight innings of work while striking out five.
