Canal Park to Host Ballpark Festival of Beers September 20

(AKRON, OHIO) August 7, 2014 - The Akron RubberDucks announced today it will host the first Ballpark Festival of Beers at Canal Park on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Ballpark Festival of Beers, presented by Goose Island, will feature a variety of more than 100 local, regional, and domestic beers. Tickets for the three-hour event are $30 in advance, and $35 at the gates the day of the event.

"We are always looking for unique events to host at Canal Park," said RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander. "We are excited to partner with Goose Island to provide a fun event for fans 21 and older to have a great night filled with live music and some of the best beer Northeast Ohio has to offer."

Along with admission to the Ballpark Festival of Beers, tickets include a commemorative sampling glass and 15 drink tickets to use throughout the event. In addition, patrons will enjoy the sounds of a live band, all from the outfield of Canal Park. Canal Park concessions will also be available.

There are three ways for fans to purchase tickets: in-person at the Canal Park box office during normal business hours (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), by calling the Akron RubberDucks box office at 330-253-5153, or online at www.akronrubberducks.com.

Rubber City Radio Group is the official media partner of the Ballpark Festival of Beers and will provide information and updates on 1590 AM WAKR, 97.5 FM WONE, and 94.9 FM WQMX.

A designated driver option will be available with details to be announced soon.

The Akron RubberDucks are the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The 2014 season is its 18th since moving to Canal Park and its first since becoming the RubberDucks.
