
Canal Park Hall of Fame Games Set for Saturday, August 6th

AKRON, OH - The Akron Aeros will host "Hall of Fame" Games at Canal Park on Saturday, August 6. In addition to the 7:05 p.m. Akron Aeros / New Britain Rock Cats game, representatives from the Jackson Polar BEARS will battle the Garfield RAMS in a series of in-park contests featuring games from the National Toy Hall of Fame.
The BEARS and RAMS will square off in competitions involving the following recent inductees to the National Toy Hall of Fame:
Checkers Nintendo Game Boy
Easy Bake Oven Hula Hoop
Playing Cards Candy Land
Baby Doll Silly Putty
Scrabble The Game of Life
Crayola Crayons Jump Rope
Other highlights on Saturday include:

. A petting zoo featuring BEARS & RAMS costumed characters
"While we are all disappointed in the loss of the first pre-season game in Canton, we are excited to provide another outlet for fans to get their football 'fix'. This is a great opportunity for fans to still see the BEARS and RAMS compete against each other in a Hall of Fame atmosphere," Aeros Executive Vice President and COO JIM PFANDER said.
