MONTREAL, QUE (November 15, 2011) - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Pierre Gauthier announced today that defenceman Frederic St. Denis has been recalled by the Montreal Canadiens.
St. Denis, 25, leads all Bulldogs defencemen and is 11th amongst AHL defencemen with eight points (3 goals, 5 assists). St. Denis is also tied with Garrett Stafford for first on the 'Dogs and ranks fourth amongst AHL defencemen in goals with three. The 5-11, 182-pound defender also registered 19 shots and two power play goals in 14 games this season. The native of Greenfield Park, Quebec has recorded 50 points (12 goals, 38 assists), a + 29 rating and 78 penalty minutes in 156 career games with Hamilton.
