Rust Returns to Penguins

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Matt Rust to a professional tryout agreement.

Originally signed to an amateur tryout agreement on October 11, Rust was limited to two games with the Penguins due to injury. In his rookie season after completing a four-year career at the University of Michigan, Rust has also skated in two contests with the Wheeling Nailers this season.

Hailing from Bloomfield Hills, MI, Rust totaled 41 goals, 70 assists and 173 penalty minutes over 164 games with Michigan.
