Canadians Shut Out In Eugene, Fall 6-0

(PK Park - Eugene, OR) - Four Eugene pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout of the Canadians on Sunday as Vancouver fell 6-0 out at PK Park on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Canadians RHP Francisco Rios (0-3) went 4 1/3 innings allowing six hits and a pair of earned runs which included a solo home run to DH Justin Marra that gave the Emeralds a 3-0 lead.

Eugene's offense struck for three more runs in the bottom of the 6th inning as LHP Bob Wheatley allowed four straight Emeralds to reach base with DH Justin Marra once again involving himself in the attack with an RBI single that helped build a 6-0 lead.

Canadians LHP Turner Lee was great in his 2 2/3 innings of work allowing just one hit while striking out two, but it was all for not as Vancouver offense was limited to just two hits, both singles in the loss that sends the C's to 8-10 on the season.
